A pair of Napoleon III Chauffeuses, low chairs designed to sit by the fireplace. Made of ebonized pear wood and recently re-upholstered in pale blue, they have a contemporary feel. Dating from the 1870s, these chairs feature a slat back with a serpentine top rail and elegantly turned legs. From floor to seat: 15.5".
Condition: Very good. Minor wear on wood. One seat has a slightly rounder shape than the other.
