Two framed Napoleon III period prints of dancers receiving instruction. The prints are titled "Danse au Chateau" (Dance at the castle) and "Danse au Theatre" (Dance at the theater). En pointe ballerinas strike poses in their tutus backstage, and a pair of ladies show their poise at an intimate gathering at home. Largely muted neutral tones with hits of blue and peachy-reds. The frames are carved with classic Art Nouveau decoration, stylized floral motif along the outside and languorous flourishes around the inner rim.
Condition: Very good. Some age wear and cracks on frame. Some age darkening on prints.
