A vintage cookie tin box with pastoral imagery, French 20th century. The rectangular tin box has a hinged lid and full color printed decoration. An idyllic scene of dairy cows grazing high up in the mountains graces the top. The beveled edges of the lid and sides of the box are gold-toned with copious red scrollwork. Red French text on the front lip marks the box as a cookie basket from Besançon, in the eastern region of France.
