A great antique cast iron five kilogram scale weight from France, early 1900s. Hexagonal in shape with raised edges and raised lettering that reads 5 kilog. A swinging iron loop handle is attached at the center top and has a groove to sit within, though it sits a little proud. The bottom of the weight has a concave area with a poured pewter plug. Rustic texture original to the casting with a reddish brown patina typical for its age.
Condition: Very good antique condition with light rust throughout.
