An attractive faux bamboo three hook coat hanger in the French colonial style, circa 1920. Beechwood construction turned and carved to accurately mimic bamboo cane. Three turned dowels are inserted into the faux cane, each one connected to a curved, wooden bar for hanging coats. These curved bars have decorative incised lines and the ends are capped with graduated concentric rings, hinting at the piece's Art Deco era origin. The beechwood is stained a rich honey tone and has two flat metal hangers attached to its back.
Condition: Great vintage condition. Some superficial scuffs and a couple of light dings, typical for its age and use. One shallow crack runs part way along the bottom of the piece, does not affect the stability or strength.
