Wooden Mortar and Pestle <p>A rustic carved wooden mortar with its pestle from the Provence Region, circa 1900. Faceted outer edges with a flat rim and bottom, all surfaces worn smooth with so many years of use. The shaped wooden pestle has a turned handle embellished with a deeply incised line near the top, its head wide and shallow with wood grain showing through the smoothed surface. Beautiful patina and unique form make this a great accent piece. Pestle: 10.5"long x 4.25 in diameter.</p>

Condition: Very good. Lots of marks and old scuffs throughout, as well as some age cracks. Some wood darkening, appropriate for its age.
