A lovely French Art Nouveau painted enamel bucket, circa 1910. Metal bucket with porcelain enamel coating and a wicker handle. The round bin has a subtly tapered pedestal base and a curled top lip. Two knob handles are attached at the sides, with a wicker wrapped handle looped around both. Remnants of gold metallic string still decorate the wicker. Loosely painted purple and yellow pansy-like flowers adorn the outside, over a ightly toned background that fades from a pink top to a seafoam green bottom. Makes a great storage piece or waste paper bin.
Condition: Good antique condition with some wear on handle and on the enamel surfaces. A few old chips on the outer bottom were repaired with gray paint.
