A small faux bamboo wooden coat hanger from France, circa 1940s. Made of turned wood with metal hangers, the piece has three hooks and retains its original staining meant to embellish the incised carvings indicating bamboo segments. The back rail is a single turned wood piece that was split for hanging and has two old metal loops held in place with old nails. Projecting from the front are three posts with round tops, angled up to hold coats, hats and bags.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear appropriate to its age and use, including a few small dings and old worm holes.
