An attractive torchiere lamp made of alabaster, French circa 1920. Thick alabaster shields the bulb, emitting a pleasant glow from its sides and a gentle cast of light from the top. A broad crested rim eases out at the top of the piece. The pedestal base is styled like a molded baluster. Minimal veining on the body, some interesting differences in opacity. One thin, brown vein runs up and over the base. This lovely piece does double duty as a sculpture and a light. Great for a bedside table or anywhere you need some soft illumination.
Condition: Very good. Small cracks on crested top and at base. Rewired to US standards. 1 medium base bulb 60 watts max.
