A substantial brass table lamp in the Louis XVI style from the early 1900s. The lamp takes the form of a candlestick. Gadrooned edging decorates the wide base, an elaborate baluster shaped body has a fluted central shaft, more gadrooning around the top rim. A painted wooden faux candle has simulated wax drip detail to complete the look.
The lamp has been rewired for a three way bulb and to US standards. The new linen drum shade is 11" height x 16" diameter.
Condition: Very good. Minor discoloration on brass. Minor hairline cracks at base. Some age wear at top of candle. Rewired to US standards. Lamp without harp: 31.75"H.
