circa: Early 1900s
A black forged iron industrial book press from the early 1900s. Beautiful patina on the iron. Squat shape with an industrial aesthetic. The base is square with light molding. Curved, stout shoulders house a screw mechanism with baton shaped handles and a round finial. One arm bears the mark "3 B", probably a model number. The base has holes for mounting. It's a beautiful, functioning piece. The maximum size that can be pressed is 8.5" by 11", approximately 1.5" thick.
Condition: Great antique condition. Minor spots of rust and wear, fully functional.
