Vintage French copper and brass pitcher for wine and water, circa 1950. Two flared copper pieces are joined at their widest point, about one third of the way up the pitcher, creating a low belly. Four decorative bands of brass encircle the pot and a curved brass handle is joined at the body and on the back of the spout. A wide copper bowl forms the spout, precisely bent to form a wide pouring mouth. The pitcher is a beautiful decorative object that would also make a lovely vase.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Some color variations on the metal, typical for age and use. One dent on the side near the back.
