A vintage French copper poissonniere, or fish kettle, with iron handle, circa 1950s. Bright, glistening copper is fashioned into a wide, low pot for preparing fish. The bottom half has crisply formed repousse work with a scalloped profile and hammered texture. A thin forged iron handle spans the width of the poissonniere, curving through two small side loops and ending in decorative S curves. Great for storage and display.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Slight variation in metal coloring, typical for its age and use.
