A beautiful 19th century French cauldron with two handles and its original top. This large kitchen utensil is called "marmite" in French and is used to cook in large quantities. It is also called "Fait-tout", literally translated into "to do everything" and was often used to wash clothing and sheets in hot water. Simple, classic construction. A bright, handsome surface that boasts over 100 years of use.
Condition: Very good. Appropriate wear. Some tarnishing and verdigris.
