origin: Beaujolais Region
A tall, elegant pewter pitcher from the Beaujolais region of France. Its form is classic, with a long neck, wide shoulders over a tapered base, flared foot and molding throughout. The simple, curved handle connects to a flip top lid with two acorns at the thumb rest. Tiny raised fleur de lis and sunflowers are present at the neck, near the mouth and along the rim of the foot. The piece is marked underneath with a sunflower, fleur de lis, leaf and flourish.
