circa: 19th Century
A brilliant 19th century copper fish kettel "poissoniere" with iron handle, from the Bresse region of France. The long copper trough has a lip that is turned out and under, and no unnecessary adornments. Brass brazing can be seen where the pieces were joined. A single, rustic forged iron handle stretches the length of the piece and is attached at the edges with copper rivets. It will make a beautiful decorative or storage piece.
Condition: Very good. Some discoloration on copper.
