A brilliant 19th century copper fish kettle "poissonniere" with iron handle, from the Bresse region of France. The long copper trough has a lip that is turned out and under, and no unnecessary adornments. Brass brazing can be seen where the pieces were joined. A single, rustic forged iron handle stretches the length of the piece and is attached at the edges with copper rivets. It will make a beautiful decorative or storage piece.
Condition: Very good. Age appropriate with tarnishing, few dents scratches and smudges.
