circa: 20th century
A cheery vintage set of six ceramic plates with colorful fruit decoration from Mehun sur Yevre, France 20th century. White ceramic blanks have been glazed with bright yellow lips trimmed inside and out with thin black bands. The center wells of each plate bear equally colorful transfer decorated fruits on the vine or branch. Plums and currants, pears and blueberries, peaches, cherries, grapes and stawberries, most with little blossoms nestled between. Impressive color and design makes them great for display or serving. Marked on the back "Comptoir Ceramique Mehun."
Condition: Good vintage condition with light glaze wear and very minor surface scratches, all typical for age and use. A few glaze imperfections or pulls original to firing.
