A set of 4 French Alsatian earthenware cruches glazed in gray with blue accents, circa 1920. Hand turned earthenware with a slim base, wide belly, narrow neck and high handle. The porous gray glaze has a high gloss finish and is accented by hand painted deep blue glazed flourishes. Great texture throughout the pieces, unmarked. Sizes vary from 11.5"to 16"in height and from 7"to 11"in diameter.
Condition: Very good condition with minimal wear. Some imperfections in the fired clay, original to the piece. Areas of brown discoloration on glaze.
