A colorful pair of vintage Digoin transfer decorated ceramic serving dishes, French circa 1940. Stoneware dishes with narrow, elongated form over slightly raised rim feet. The pair feature transfer decoration around the rim that contains both Art Nouveau and Art Deco motifs. Red stripes between black and yellow scrolled designs surrounding blue and red floral pieces. Both are trimmed in gilt edging. Clear glazed with marks underneath for Digoin France.
Condition: Good vinage condition with some light gilding and transfer wear and a couple tiny edge chips, all typical for age and use. A few minor glaze imperfections original to firing.
