A large glazed ceramic planter attributed to Jules Vieillard, Bordeaux, circa late 1800s. Lobed form with raised relief decoration in arabesque design. Hand-painted glazework primarily in deep, cobalt blue with white and baby blue accents traced in gilded linework. Floral and arabesque motifs throughout. Condition: Good antique condition with no visible cracks. Two sizeable glaze chips near the bottom with hand-painted repair. Minor fading on gilt trim.
