circa: Early 1900s
A very decorative two-handled Provençal "Vinaigrier". Hand thrown and traditionally shaped with a small foot and broad shoulders and belly, it measures 18"tall and 14"in diameter. A lovely bare patch of earthenware at the top shows that the pot was glazed dipped while held by its slight mouth. The glaze is predominantly in beige and rust tones and has the look of salt glaze. Rustic and beautiful!
Condition: Minor age wear. Top and spout are missing.
