A charming glazed ceramic lidded tureen and underplate with hand painted decorative glazing,French circa 1950. Scalloped edge underplate supports a wide, lobed bodied double handled tureen with a scalloped edge lid. All pieces feature elaborate hand painted blue and ocher arabesque designs and have low-fire blue glazed trimming. Marked underneath the plate and tureen for G. Brachet Terrasson.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Few small chips on the underplate edge, a few tiny imperfections in the fired ceramic, original to the piece.
