A vintage glazed terracotta pitcher with handle and top, French circa 1960. Beige terracotta clay was hand-thrown with straight sides embellished by two sets or raised lines, a slight shoulder with a short neck and pour spout at the side instead of the front. A single handle attaches near the rim and near the middle of the pot. And a simple lid with round finial sits comfortably over the mouth. The inside is fully glazed and the outside was dip glazed leaving the bottom inch or so bare. The top of the lid is glazed as well, all in a light dijon yellow with a tiny crackle finish.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Imperfections in the terracotta and glaze from the time of production, one small chip on the underside of the lid.
