At Négrel Antiques, we believe that a photograph is worth a thousand words. Which is why we love sharing our images with you! Our Instagram and Facebook feeds have become a showcase to highlight our images and share with a wide audience, and we wanted you to see some of our best 2017 posts before the year comes to a close. Enjoy looking at our recap!
We started off the New Year showing some brave Austinites taking the frigid plunge into the now-world-famous Barton Springs. Many locals take part in the "Polar Bear" tradition, but we weren't bold enough to join them. Are you???
We shared two bright, airy images from the Houston design firm of Lucas Eilers. Their use of sturdy, classic antiques in modern, comfortable spaces gave us loads of ideas. Maybe it’s time to refresh some rooms…think of us when you’re looking to do the same!
Flashback to March, when Cathy snapped this beautiful shot of the French countryside around Beaujolais. Catching moments like this must be one of the highlights of the buying trips to France. It’s such a pleasure to see the amazing locations where our well-loved items come from.
These diminutive beauties garnered lots of love when they debuted on our Instagram. With their shapely profile and fantastically colored marble tops, they are loaded with style! They are as functional as they are unique. And they would surely look terrific in your home!
We were so inspired by the work of Nava Lubelski. Her vibrant handcrafted pieces are imbued with private narratives and it’s easy to get lost in her world of rich textures. Check out her varied work: www.navalubelski.com.
In keeping with Austin’s active, outdoorsy spirit, Cathy participated in this year’s Statesman Capitol 10K. Pictured here drawing strength from another venerable Texan, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s statue. And it worked; she placed seventh in her age group! Way to go, Cathy!
We hope you've enjoyed our year in review! 2017 has been truly wonderful and we thank all of our customers for their patronage of Négrel Antiques! We are looking forward to what 2018 has to bring. Bonne Anneé from Cathy, Pierre, Karn, Shannon, Chad, and Rick at Négrel Antiques!
