circa: Late 1800s
Two chromolithography prints with boating scenes with ebonized Napoleon III era wooden frame, late 1800s France. One print shows a courting couple and their friend, rowing into a patch of lilies and reeds, a large manor house on the distant shore. The other print shows a young family enjoying a day of light boating, with two attractively dressed parents, two small children and their dog, out on a small boat with the father rowing through a small patch of reeds.
Condition: Good antique condition. Light wear and paint loss on the frame, small separation at corners. Age appropriate darkening on the print and a few small spots, slight bowing of the paper board and a couple of small losses to the surface.
