circa: Early 1900s
A large iron and marble bistro table from France, circa 1900. Long enough to seat six to eight, this impressively long bistro table features a patinated iron base and a thick 1.25" marble top. White marble with pale gray veining and nicely rounded edges. The shapely legs are scrolled at the top and bottom with molding and fluting at the center. A flower is seated at the scrolled shoulders, with flowers and shell motif decorating the bases. Two straight stretchers run the length between the legs and extra supports sit between the top stretcher and marble.
Condition: Good antique condition with age appropriate wear. Some shallow scratches on the marble as well as a few water spots and a few ocher colored stains, some wear at edges but no chips. Slight wobble only due to its length, sturdy.
