Exquisite burl walnut book veneer Louis Philippe bedside cabinet with rich gray marble top, French circa 1850s. Beautiful burl walnut clad oak with book veneer front and a seated dark gray marble top. Square in form with canted corners and a classic plinth base. Two drawers on the bottom, a single drawer at the top, and a faux double-drawer drop front cabinet with marble slab on the interior, round wooden knobs. A thin strip of trim encircles the piece just under the top drawer, echoing the thin feet at each corner. Simple molding along the top edge and the top of the base makes an elegant accent. An attractive cabinet for any room.
Condition: Good antique condition. One small fill on the marble edge at back right. Age cracks on both sides and small crack on back. Stained interior marble piece. Reglued corner trim pieces on the back corners.
