A sturdy pair of French golden oak stools with elegant barley twist legs, circa 1960. Square seats made of joined oak boards have smoothed edges and softly rounded corners, giving a slightly rustic look. Barley twist legs are connected to matching stretchers by square joins, harkening back to the seats above. Squat little bun feet have subtle incised lines and light molding. The golden oak has a rich, warm tone. These stools would make nice end tables, or, pushed together, a petite occasional table. They're also attractive and unobtrusive as little seats flanking a sofa or other furniture piece.
Condition: Slight age separation on the seat boards, noticeable only by touch.
