Louis XVI Style Brass Lantern <p>A three light Louis XVI style brass lantern, circa 1940. Faux candle light sockets hold three candelabra bulbs, each sitting over beaded edge cups perched on acanthus arms. These arms come together at the center and end in a ring of leaves and pinecone finial. A fluted central shaft supports the lights and connects above to a larger beaded edge cup and three acanthus arms that reach out to hold the outer frame. Brass rims at top and bottom are connected by three fluted posts that clasp curved panes of glass. Three more pinecone finials decorate the bottom brass rim. The canopy bears a ring of water leaves and is joined with the lantern via brass posts and a wreath ring.</p>
<p>Rewired, recommended maximum of 40 watt bulbs.</p>

Condition: Rewired to US standards. Some color variations on the brass, typical for its age. Some wear at top of original candle covers.
