A glistening hammered copper wine pitcher from the Burgundy region of France, circa 1900. Beautiful copper with a hammered finish. The wide mouth has a notch at the back and a curled over lip that runs all the way around. Long neck and a low belly, sitting atop a flared base. The tubular copper handle is riveted at the bottom and re-welded at the top. It's a lovely rustic piece that would make a nice vase or utensil holder.
Condition: Minor wear on the bottom with a few small pewter fills. Rewelding at the top handle connection. Slight tarnishing to interior.
