A vintage Italian pedestal side table, also known as a "gueridon", in the Renaissance Revival style with distressed paint, circa 1950. Probably beechwood construction with cream colored paint throughout and hints of old gilding and colored paint underneath. Quatrefoil base with molding and carved scrollwork sit on four heavy, decorated feet. The shaft is a gadrooned bulb with beading, foliate and waterleaf motif. Round top with molded trim over more scrollwork finish out the table.
Condition: Good distressed vintage condition. No visible cracks, just shabby style distressed painting with paint loss, age wear and old treated wormholes.
