circa: Early 1900s
An outstanding antique marble and cherrywood veneer parquetry bouillotte table in the Louis XVI style, French circa 1900. Carara marble top encircled with a pierced brass gallery. Beautiful chevron parquetry in cherrywood veneer is trimmed in satinwood and kingswood inlay, further accented by geometric satinwood and kingswood detailing on and above the square tapered legs. Molded square brass sabot feet. Two drawers and two red leather-topped pull out shelves, both with brass pulls. Will make a great small coffee table or side table.
Condition: Good antique condition. Some marks and two visible dents on the marble surface, slight verdigris on the brass gallery and the sabot have been recently cleaned. The leather on the pull out shelves has been changed. Few instances of veneer swelling, one tiny piece of veneer is missing, a little wear typical to its age and use.
