A rustic vintage carpenter's workbench in elm wood complete with drawers and clamps, French 1950. Beautifully worn elm wood carries the marks from decades of use, with dents and gouges; large steel clamps have nicks and a nice patina. Unusual for etablis, this piece has three generous drawers and for a delightful surprise, the bottom of each one has been hand painted. Iron drop ring handles on the drawers. The large clamp at the front is marked with the maker's name, Jean 1950. The bottom, back splat and drawers are pine. Great console, island or functioning workspace. Excluding clamp, table depth is 20.5".
Condition: Good vintage condition, heavily used with lots of marks. Back slat and bottom boards have been replaced, typical for these pieces.
