circa: Early 1900s
A substantial oak French country farm table or desk, circa 1900s. Dark stained oak with rustic peg construction. The top is made from seven thick boards joined by splines. Four stout post legs have their corners notched and carved into long, angled bevels and they are joinded by a sturdy H-stretcher with a simple thumb mold edge. Two drawers are placed on one long side of the table, each 16.5" wide, 18" long and 2.5" deep. The fantastic hanging metal drawer pulls take the form of antique scissor handles with a fleur de lis at the center. It seats six perfectly, but can accomodate eight. It will also make a wonderful desk. Floor to apron measurement is 24".
Condition: Minor appropriate wear, few scratches and some discoloration on the top.
