circa: Late 1800s
An iron and marble bistro table from Spain, late 1800s. Wrought iron base with Rococo inspired forms, from the Fejemar foundry in Sevilla. The base is ornate, with acanthus motif and scrolls branching off of a central baluster-style post, all resting on little ball feet. The stretcher is forged to look like turned balusters with acanthus decoration. Rectangular white marble top with rounded edges has light gray veining throughout. The top rests on the base and is not attached. The table would make a great console.
Condition: Good antique condition. Iron base has rusting, the marble top has chipped edges and scratches typical for age and use, as well as some age spots on the surface.
