A striking pair vintage coffee tables with smoked glass top over a sculptural iron base, France circa 1960. The black iron pedestal bases consist of five wide bands cinched in the middle with scrolled feet and long, curled tops. Gilt metal chevrons are applied along the outer surface of the curled tops, all the way down the center, and on the tops of the scrolled feet. An angled gilt metal band with raised starburst designs belts the center just above the feet. A black tubular band girdles the curled top. The round smoked glass tops are one half inch thick with beveled edges and is removable. Will work well as coffee tables, or as a generous end tables along with its matching mate.
Note: Each table can be sold separately at $3200 each.
Condition: Very good. Minor scratches on glass top. Age appropriate tarnishing on metal.
