A fabulously decorated vintage Venetian glass mirror, French circa mic-century. Made of mirrored glass over a pine frame, the mirror has a shield form with shaped acanthus swag decoration at the pediment. The center mirror has a smooth bevel, with all trim pieces also having beveled edges. All five panels surrounding the shield have tiny scalloped edging and elaborate, but dainty, floral etching. The bottom finial and center top piece are flame or acanthus shape with line etching and dot decoration, along with more floral work at the top. Acanthus swags draping the top display etched linework, as well. Glass rosette screws hold the pieces in place. The pine frame is painted black along the edges.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with no visible chips or scratches. Very minor silvering loss in a few small spots and outer pieces retain black paint at their edges from the mirror's creation.
