An ornate Italian six light chandelier in wood and metal painted blue and gold, circa 1930. Baluster shaped turned and carved wooden central column with metal foliate arms and carved wood boboche, each supporting faux candle lights topped with candelabra bulbs. Touches of Rococo styling throughout with copious gilt acanthus detailing and gadrooning. The original paint shows peeks of the red ocher underneath, lending an antique feel. An aged metal canopy with repousse scrolls and swags, plus adjustable length chain with decorated links add 29" to the fixture. Newly rewired to US standards. Max 40 watt bulbs recommended.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Paint wear throughout with some red ocher showing under the gilding and blue. Some tarnishing on metal. Faux candles are new.
