A fabulous French Art Deco chandelier in frosted glass and metal frame by Muller Freres and Luneville, circa 1930s. Nickel plated frame with four piece frosted and pressed glass shades decorated to the hilt in high Art Deco geometric motifs. The large center bowl features strong triangular fan design at the edges with a layered star finial, segmented lobes around the bowl have subtle dot and star decoration. Three surrounding glass shades have more triangular motif, marquee style decorative rays, and multitextured circles over elongated ribbing. These shades have curved nickel plated arms decorated in star and fan designs, which are repeated on the wonderful canopy. Signed Muller Freres Luneville on one shade.
Condition: Good vintage condition with some rusting of the metal and a few small scratches and imperfections in the glass. One visible scratch at bottom of center bowl. Some fading on frosted glass. Rewired to US Standards, candelabra bulbs with 40 watt recommended max.
