A rustic decorative wooden clock from the Black Forest reion of Germany circa late 1800s. A stout wooden box houses the old metal gears and parts, enclosed by a swinging side door with a little hinged pin closure. The large wooden face is tenderly adorned with a colorful transfer decoration embellished with hand-painted details. Floral motif with deep red edges contrasting with the aged ocher colored dial. Metal hands and a long, delicate chain finish the clock. A great accent piece.
Condition: Age appropriate wear and darkening, hour hand hangs loose. Decorative only, mechanism is not functioning.
