A 19th century Louis XIII Style walnut confiturier jam cabinet, French circa late 1800s. This striking storage piece is comprised of walnut wood with a pine back and bottom. Decorations include paneled and lightly molded sides, extended molded bottom trim, carved bun front feet, and a wonderfully dimensional diamond motif molded front door. Original iron lock with skeleton key and decorated escutcheon, and original iron hinges. The cabinet holds one nonadjustable pine shelf with a depth of 18.25".
Condition: Good antique condition with age appropriate wear throughout and some fills. Restoration with veneer walnut above the door, small restoration beside the door, and an age cracks at the top and sides.
