A decorated 19th century Provencal painted Louis XV Style buffet. Constructed of pine, the piece is painted in a distressed muslin tone and stained dark brown on the interior. Molded and scalloped top, paneled sides and paneled, arched double doors at the front with molding. The large apron is scalloped with relief carved floral design, which is matched by carving over the doors and along the curved front corners. Scrolled legs front and back with hoof feet at the front. Decorative metal hardware and hinges are painted and distressed along with the wood. One non-adjustable shelf inside.
Condition: Good rustic antique condition with age appropriate wear including a little edge damage by the lock, a little loss on the right feet and old treated wormholes. Small gap at top of doors. Lock is not functioning, key is used as pull only.
