circa: Early 1900s
A Louis XVI style mahogany bedside cabinet nightstand with Carrara marble top, circa 1920. Chic and practical with two drawers and a bottom shelf, this piece will bring both style and utility to your space. Will also make a great end table. The chocolatey-toned mahogany is enriched with brass trim accents set into the paneled sides and drawer fronts. Tapered and fluted legs connect to fluted cabinet corners with turned segments. Lovely Carrara marble on top is ringed by a pierced brass gallery. The cabinet has two felt lined drawers, both with brass pulls set into brass sunflower details. Drawer measurements are 11.5" wide, 8.25" long and 2.5" deep. A scooped front shelf at the bottom stands 7" from the floor. Brass sabots cap the feet to finish the piece.
Condition: Some rings on the marble top, superficial scratches and a tiny dent. Some color variations on the brass, typical for its age and use. Small bent on brass gallery top. Minor scratches on lower shelf.
