A beguiling mid-century Venetian mirrored glass nightstand and chest of drawers, circa 1950. Four gracefully curving birchwood legs rise up from slender feet and broaden as they go up. The widest part of each leg is attached to a corner of the mirrored body. Dainty scallops march along the edge of the mirrored top. The bottom profile of the front and sides echo the scallops above. Both sides and the two drawers are ornamented by sizable etched crosshatching and delicately etched floral designs, roses and foliate images. Each drawer has a large glass rosette pull with copper accents. The interior drawer space for both is 12.25" wide, 8.5" long and 3.5" deep. Plywood back and drawer bottoms.
Condition: Some superficial scratches on the top. Stains inside the drawers and some nicks on the feet, commensurate with age and use.
