A pair of iconic brass mid century Chiavari chairs, Italy circa 1960. Their ornate backs have slender baluster style spindles and are capped by a deeply scalloped top rail with traces of Moorish motif. The front legs and stretcher echo the baluster spindles. The back legs taper with a graceful saber curve. Straight stretchers at the sides and back for strength. Each leg is finished with a flat, dainty brass foot. Both seats are removable and retain their original dijon yellow velvet upholstery. This classic silhouette is perfect for vanity, boudoir or side seating. Seat height is 19".
Condition: Good vintage condition. Some color variations on the brass and some spots of tarnishing, typical for its age and use. Wear on the original upholstery.
