A Napoleon III Period Armchair in ebonized pear wood. It has been recently re-upholstered in a fine neutral taupe with a velvety feel, finished with antiques nails. The wide, comfortable armchair has an arched top, curved and fluted armrests with acanthus leaf carvings and turned, tapered legs. Perfect to sit at a desk or in your reading room.
Condition: Very good. Sturdy. Some fading on ebonized wood. Light nicks around the feet, small crack at bottom of right armrest, normal for its age and use. New upholstery.
Floor to seat height is 18.5".
