A fantastic two piece curule lounge seating set in fire-engine red tufted leather. The deep toned beechwood frames have the classic curule, or X shaped, structure and feature raised rosettes, carved chevron detailing and scrolled corners. A subtle wooden ridge widens the arms for added comfort. The supple red leather is button tufted, with tight points and snug stitching. With a smooth leather back and padded armrests accented by antique nail head trim, this set looks great from all angles. Although the style is English, this set was made in France by Ameublement NF, as marked by the tag on the inside of the back left leg.
The ottoman is 25.5" wide, 17" deep and 15" tall.
Condition: A small split in the leather at the bottom, outer edge of the seat. A few nicks around the feet, all typical for age and use.
