A wonderful pair of Louis XVI style cabriolet armchairs, circa 1900s, with chic medallion backs. Recently reupholstered in neutral fabric, trimmed with double welt cording. The cherrywood has a rich, warm tone. Abundant and delicate carvings including beading, rais-de-coeur, scrolls and acanthus leaves. The legs are in the traditional Louis XVI style with cable fluting and rosettes in die joints. Very comfortable armchairs with wide seats. Floor to seat: 17.50".
Condition: Frame in excellent condition. Minor wear on wood. New Upholstery.
