A delightful painted Louis XVI style buffet cabinet from France, circa 1900. Walnut body with pine back and shelves. Thick, heavily distressed paint in tones of cream and light gray brighten the piece. Two drawers on top, paneled front doors and sides, all with molded edges. Fluted corners and molded edge top. Bun feet at the front with square feet in back. One full shelf inside with a shallow half shelf above. Interior measures 17" deep, 12.5" high on bottom, 6.5" between the two shelves and 6" above. The drawers have painted decorative knobs and the cabinet lock works.
Condition: Good antique condition with a few age cracks on top and some old worm holes on the pine back.
