A fabulous Art Deco era blown glass decanter in amber and red glass, Loire region circa 1940. The amber form resembles an amphora with broad shoulders and a tapering base, but also features a long, elegant neck with a flared rim. As the decanter tapers near the flared base the glass transitions to a deep red. A series of ripples allude to the piece’s Art Deco origins. The glass stopper is a pointed red knob that echos the ripples on the body of the vase.
Condition: Very good. Tiny scratches on stopper and on decanter.
